17 Weeks

Only 160 days left of pregnancy. Sounds crazy when put that way right? I have a feeling it is going to go really quickly. We went to IKEA over the weekend and got nursery furniture. The nursery is now starting to come together. It is a lot smaller in that room than I thought. I know, I know I should have measured and designed it on the computer considering my profession. Everything will work out, just not as perfectly as I had pictured. That aside, I am still very excited!! Thank you very much to Nana Joyce and Nana KK for helping with the furniture costs!!! It is very much appreciated. I am feeling good, just not sleeping well, but feel good in general. Eating, eating, eating. Only 20 days till we find out the sex!!!! Please pray/send good vibes/ whatever you may do that the baby is healthy!!! ---- I have got the quit watching Discovery Health channel!! I am such a worry wart.

Love to you all xoxox C&B+1

4 MONTHS!!! (16 weeks)

Time goes so slow week to week just waiting for the next pregnancy milestone, but if I look at it like I am almost to the halfway point I want to slow it down!! I am feeling great and have been eating like a pig. I have a lot of trouble deciding what to eat because everything sounds so delicious! Our yard sale was a huge success. We got rid of a lot of junk to make room for the baby. Now this weekend we are going to IKEA to pick up some nursery furniture. THANK YOU NANA JOYCE for helping us!!!! We still can't pick out any gender specific items, but we can get the basics. I went for a OB check up on Monday. Doc says all is well. My blood work came back okay and he listened to the heartbeat - 158 beats / minute. Next visit will be May 18th for a full sonogram and he will be able to see the anatomy..........so we will finally find out the sex!!!!!! I am really dying to know.

Funny story: last night we let Harley out to potty around 11:00pm and when he returned he was covered in poo!!! So poor Brandon gave him a bath and then around midnight Harley began whining like he need to go potty. Guess what? He returned covered in poo again. Apparently he was rolling in it. Brandon (God love him) gave him another bath and then we went to bed. Then when I got up this morning I stepped in kitty throw up!!! I guess God is trying to give us a little taste of what we're in for huh??

Other than that, not much to report. I will post belly pics soon.

15 Weeks

Hello again! I am approaching the 4 month marker and all seems to be going well. I am feeling MUCH better! In fact, I probably feel better than ever considering all the vitamins, extra sleep, and no toxins. The doppler I rented arrived last week and we have been having all kinds of fun listening to the Baby whenever we want to. I think pretty much everyone in the family has had a listen. I am still craving a lot of protein and carbs. I am loving red meat, which is really weird for me! I also get hankerings for raw potatoes. I haven't gained anymore weight, but with the nausea almost completely out of the picture now I bet I will begin to in the next few weeks. I have a doctors appointment next week, just a checkup. It will be May before the next ultrasound and we will find out the sex then! Post new pics soon.

Don't forget to visit our yard sale this Saturday!! Love you all, Cari

14 Weeks

Hey, hey!! Some exciting news to tell this week: I felt the baby move!! It is an odd feeling, but so awesome. It is just a little flutter, but an unmistakable one. At first I thought I was crazy, but knew that it wasn't just regular tummy rumble, so I looked it up. Sure enough most of the readings I found said that it is possible to feel the baby at 13 weeks. Some may not feel it till 16 or 17 weeks. Now, I don't feel him/her (I feel bad saying "it" all the time) every few minutes or anything. It is mostly when I am laying down on the couch relaxing. Also, as you may have read in last week's blog that I am really anxious to hear the heartbeat again so I am renting a doppler!! Now I can have that reassurance anytime I need it and I think it will also help Brandon feel more involved as he can "doppler me". He was pretty excited when I told him. You can also record the sound so I will try and figure out how to post it for you all to hear. I have also signed up for some prenatal yoga which I am really excited about. I will keep you posted on how that goes. I will post my belly pics tomorrow! Have a great Easter everyone! xoxoxo Cari

13 Weeks

Well, not a lot to tell this week. I feel pretty much the same as last week. Just headaches, which are a whole lot easier to deal with than nausea. We got the new carpet installed this weekend and it looks wonderful. I had to swallow my pride and tell Brandon he was right for deciding to do the whole house rather than just the bedrooms. I am such a tight wad! Now we can move forward with the nursery. I can't wait to go back to the doctor on April 20th (which seems like forever away) just to hear the heartbeat again. It is so reassuring to hear it. I got my maternity clothes that I ordered off the Internet, they are still a little too large, but the "maternity shoes" (at least that was my excuse) fit wonderfully!! I will post belly pics tomorrow afternoon so be watching, although not much has changed. Love to you all! ~ Cari

12 Weeks

Well, we finally made it to the 3 month marker! Nausea is getting better, but headaches are picking up where that left off. I have had many restless nights and Brandon is having sympathy insomnia. We are trying to prepare the house better for a baby by getting new carpet and getting rid of some things. We will be having a yard sale on April 18th if anyone wants to join in or if you'd like to come and buy something!! Dr. Sakbun said everything is going as it should and I will see him again on the 20th of April. Next ultrasound will be in May where we might be able to determine the gender!! I have only gained 2 lbs., but I feel like it is 15. I did order some maternity clothes online as there is not much selection here in town. Hopefully they will fit or I will grow into them. I will post some pics of my nursery ideas, although we are holding out to do anything until we know the gender. Also, I am going to try to document my belly growth.
