34 Weeks

At the end of week 34, I am feeling pretty good all in all. The swelling, heartburn, and always feeling hot are the main issues, but nothing too terrible. I feel anxious, excited, scared...... .sometimes all at once!! It is getting really close now. Went to the Doctor on Tuesday and all was well with my BP and Hudson's heart rate. I have one more 2 week appointment and then have to go every week. He will begin checking my cervix around 37 weeks. Hudson is still moving around a lot, but not as much as he used to do to the lack of room in there. Now the movements feel more like pushing than kicking. His head is still down and he has dropped just a little, at least that's what my lungs are telling me.

Thursday I had a very nice lunch/shower with friends from Superior K&B!! It was nice to see everyone that I used to work with and catch up. I got some very sweet gifts, much needed items that will get put into the nursery this weekend! It made me feel very special that they thought of me. Speaking of the nursery, it is finally finished. I will take some pics this weekend and post them on next weeks blog.

Thanks again to all my friends at Superior and to everyone who has helped us along the way!!

33 Weeks

Well, anytime Hudson is healthy enough to come out of the oven I am READY!! This swelling thing is for the birds!! I went and bought myself a fake wedding ring at Walmart last night since my real ones are a little too tight and I am afraid to wear them. I think we are all settled into the nursery with just a few final touches left. Mom/Nana Joyce helped my finish up shopping this weekend, she is going to spoil this kid rotten!! I feel pretty confident that we have what we need should he come early (oh please, oh please). Again, thank you to everyone who has helped us so far, it means so much to us.

I am getting a lot of people asking me if I am due anytime now. I guess I have to remember that even though I am only at 33 weeks, I am measuring 37 weeks : ( so to others, I guess I look full term. Oh well, I have only gained 31 pounds at this point and I am pretty proud of that. I was pretty scared by the fact that Mom gained 60 with me. Please keep praying for a healthy little man and I can wait it out 6 more weeks if that means he'll be okay : )

8 Months

It is so hard to believe that I am at the 8 month marker!! Wow, this is the home stretch!! I hope it goes by fast!! The baby shower was sooooooooooo AWESOME!!! I have such wonderful family and friends, I cannot believe how many people were there and all the gifts were so very generous. I never in my life thought I would cry over car seats and diaper geanies, but I sure did!! I was just overwhelmed and felt so blessed by everyone. Thank you Nana Joyce, Aunt Mindy, Aunt Jac, Aunt Bnana, and Jodi for all of your hard work, it really paid off. It was a day I will hold in my memory bank forever!!! Hudson is already spoiled and not to mention one of the best dressed babies in town for sure!! I can't say enough THANK YOU to everyone who joined us at the shower!! Brandon and I are incredibly thankful for each and every one of you!!

Went to the doc this morning for my routine check, all is well and heartbeat sounds good. I have had a couple of people tell me it looks like my belly has dropped a little, but he didn't say anything about it. He did say "okay, everything looks good but, not much more room in there" --- I've been saying that for 3 months now!! ha ha.

Nursery is almost complete. I have to go shopping this weekend for a few odds and ends, but I will post pics as soon as it's complete!!

31 Weeks

Hello everyone! The ultrasound as you can see went really well. It was such a neat experience and I am glad our families got to be there to share it with us. He looks very healthy and BIG!! He weighed in at 3lbs, 9oz. at 30 weeks!! They double their weight from 32 weeks and gain a 1/2 oz./ day approx. Looks like we'll have an 8 pounder easy!! Amber is in town with Anna and Henry (her great danes). They are staying with us. Unfortunately, we don't have a guest room anymore because it's the nursery so they are stuck on the couch. Hope they're still comfortable. I have a feeling we will outgrow this house very easily when Hudson gets here. I've been feeling pretty good, just uncomfortable, but healthy! The baby shower is tomorrow and I am sooooooo excited to see everyone!! Mom, Mindy, Aunt Sher, Aunt Jac, and Jodi have been hard at work getting things together. Hudson is sooooooo spoiled already! I can't say enough how fortunate we are to have such a fantastic family (all branches)!!!! Brandon and I really are so grateful for the support, we couldn't do it without you guys!!!
